I know you give this publisher a "bulk" discount to typeset all their titles, and this is your excuse for not doing all sorts of commonsense things, such as correctly handling upper/smallcase capitalization (what, those extra five seconds cut into your profits?).
But when the copyeditor has circled "S.W." in a street address to indicate the word should be spelled out, it's not "South West." Doh. Where did your typesetter learn the English language?
Nowadays, that's a loaded question, I know.
Come on, guys, bulk discount aside, this is stupid. More than three PEs per page for over 400 pages. All stupid stuff like the above. You're not saving money here, folks -- the corrections alone will cost you more than doing it right in the first place. Unless, of course, you fall back on your original excuse: with the bulk discount, these are not "real PEs" -- they're "not your fault."
